Deck Radio

Car Radio will not work...NO POWER to it...yet power to the associated cassette deck is fine! HELP...someone!?

Anyone out there own a 1987 Mitsubishi Magna "Elite" and know all about the car stereo Radio/Cassette/Graphic Equalizer "combo" unit that is "factory supplied" with this "top of the range" Magna model?? I have a very SPECIFIC problem and everyone (professional) I call is telling me to get rid of the "combo" unit and install a new car audio system, readily available from any auto shop here in Melbourne, Australia...where I live! But, something tells me that the problem may be a very simple one and I am in no great hurry to abandon my factory supplied "combo" unit, as it is a very unique and neat system that also incorporates remote controls in the steering wheel. Here is the specific issue: The electric aerial works fine...cassette deck works fine...graphic equalizer works fine! When I pop the a cassette (that has been playing) out, up goes the aerial, as it should. But I have no power SIMPLY TO THE RADIO. Yet the "combo" as a whole DOES have power. PLEASE HELP!!
